• do not choose a password that exists in the dictionary file (/usr/dict/words or /usr/lib/dict/words).
• change your password regularly.
• use a combination of letters and numbers, if possible.
• your password must be longer than five characters.
• do not write your password anywhere.
• do not share your password with everyone who asks for it.
