The general syntax of a command is
command [-flag(s)] [filename(s)]
where:
- command is the filename representing the command.
- flag(s) are option(s) to the command.
Most start with a minus (-)
sign, followed by a number of single characters, each with a
special meaning to the command.
- filename(s) are files (input and/or output) to be used by
the command.
